Ritalina

Energetic performance about the resilience of the imagination

A man sits in his office in front of a giant pile of work. But instead of dealing with it, he constantly allows himself to be distracted: the office becomes a playground! A laboratory mouse begins him a small pill. Meant to help him finally concentrate on work. But should he really give up his fantasy world merely to satisfy his boss?

Ernestyna Orlowska, Sivan Perlstein and Sebastian Kläy met at the Bern University of the Arts. The Fischli and Weiss film «Der Lauf der Dinge», the Wikipedia entry on ADHD, as well as their own experiences served as inspiration for this project. “Ritalina” premiered in February 2016 at the “kicks!“-Festival of the Schlachthaus Theater Bern.
