Generation Now: From Workspace to State of the Art
In 2016, the “Starke Stücke” festival launched the “Next Generation Workspace” residency programme together with the Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm, the Theaterhaus and the Hessian Theatre Academy. Today, former participants are actively shaping the world of theatre for young audiences. They have found new forms and ways of telling stories, have won prizes, are very well connected and established. Good examples of this are the pieces “The Playground”, “Kolofu” and “Familienvorstellungen”, which can all be seen at this year's festival. On this afternoon, artists from these productions and other alumni of the “Next Generation Workspace” speak and talk to festival guests and participants of the EU project “EXIT THE ROOM”.
