Jag tänker på dig
In “Ich denke an Dich” (“I'm thinking of you”), a gentle voice guides you through a library in a secret choreography via headphones. Alone, yet together with others. With a touch of magical realism, we gain insight into the millennia-old history of books, touch on times of censorship, and are allowed to try small acts of resistance ourselves and leave secret messages behind. The participatory performance invites young people to rediscover libraries as defenders of democratic values and make them their own space.

Practising democracy
The ‘Starke Stücke’ festival makes democracy accessible. Artists, pedagogues and audiences want to practise democracy together. To make this happen, we explore libraries, classrooms and public spaces in the region and, together with young people, investigate how cultural spaces can be reappropriated and transformed into spaces of poetry and political practice.
We are delighted to be able to realise our project as part of World Design Capital Frankfurt Rhine-Main 2026 with funding from the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft and the Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain.
You hear different voices and music through the headphones.
In this piece, the audience moves through a library wearing headphones. The piece is about the importance of books and about historical book burnings. Personal thoughts and relationships are explored.
