Sap Sound

Le Son de la Sève

Two musicians welcome the audience into a forest of hollow trees. Each of these trees is transformed into a musical instrument with its own unique sound. In this forest, the audience is encouraged to pick up the drumsticks themselves and gradually allow a spontaneous concert to develop. The music is completely unique and always different, like the trees themselves, like the people playing together.

Benoît Sicat, Rennes (FR)

Performance: Benoît Sicat & Nicolas Camus (or Stéphane Rouxel)
Direction & design: Benoît Sicat (with Bruno Guiheneuf for sculptures)

Co-production with Department of Seine-Saint-Denis festival 193 Soleil!
