Laika
1957: We are in Moscow, in the midst of the Cold War. A space race is underway between the United States and the Soviet Union. Laika is a small dog and has no idea that her destiny will take her into space on the Sputnik II spaceship. She will be the first living being to orbit the earth and become part of the history of mankind. With projections, puppets and great sound, the piece tells of injustice on earth and the wonders of the heavens.
