#3 Festival preparations

As soon as the " Starke Stücke" programme is finalised, the Junior Crew starts preparing for the festival. Each group decides for itself which pieces it wants to visit and which actions or activities it would like to contribute to the festival. A lot of planning and several meetings are necessary until the final "festival roadmap" is drawn up for everyone. These preparatory meetings take place in different phases:

# The first meeting
All Junior Crew groups meet, get to know each other, get to act and play together, grow into one big group - THE Junior Crew. In the process, they get a first sense of being part of the festival.

# Watch trailers
Before the selected festival pieces can be seen live on stage, the Junior Crew sifts through the programme on the basis of trailers or video recordings. What sparks curiosity, what should definitely not be missed? This is where a lot of 'festival fever' is generated in advance.

# Roadmap
Shortly before the festival begins, the Junior Crew draws up their very own ‘roadmap’ through the festival. On pre-selected dates, they visit performances, talk to artists or get involved in the fringe programme, whereby the joint trip to the theatre venue is already an important part of the experience.

# Actions & Activities
At the festival, the Junior Crew is not only out and about as visitors but also as participants, and as such is visible in a special way. Whether as a flash mob at the opening ceremony, a special post-festival discussion format or with a microphone in pursuit of festival sound bites, the Junior Crew gets involved and has a part to play.

# Festival Lunch
The Festival Lunch is the internal thank-you party for all festival participants and as such a highlight for the Junior Crew. During a comfortable meal, they sit at a table with the artists, festival staff and organisers and can share their impressions and festival experiences with them eye-to-eye.

# Evaluation
After the festival is before the festival. The joint evaluation of the experience is therefore an important part of future festival preparations. What went well? What not so much? Which experiences have remained particularly memorable? What was particularly exciting? What impressions would the Junior Crew like to pass on to the organisers for next year?
